Our Story - ...cannot...Cantu

Intrigued by the craftsmanship and inspired by the sport of cycling - My racing experience starts back in 2008 when I first started dreaming about owning a set of carbon wheels. I put 30,000 miles on my first set and never had a problem. Back then I weighed 220 pounds. Those wheels set a benchmark to the durability I strive to build in each and every wheel.

Many miles and many big name brand wheels later, I always felt the wheels could perform better. I started venturing into the world of wheel building and never looked back. After the first couple personal sets, I began building wheels for friends and word of mouth quickly spread. As a racer with a full-time job, I started creating wheels for the working athlete taking price point, performance, durability, and customization into top consideration. 

Cantu Wheels was born in the fall of 2015. Some of our first set of wheels were built in our dining room and since then we've built a small wheel studio. Together with my wife, we enjoy promoting the benefits and community of cycling through Cantu. Our mission is to create quality wheels for the working athlete starting at the grassroots level. We take great pride in being a small local business. We make ourselves accessible to our customers whether we see them at a race, a group ride, or having them visit our wheel studio. Our priority is to give you the one-on-one attention you deserve and build the wheels where you CANTU, do anything.
